Monster Energy RX Cartel Are 2023 Champions

Mar 272023

Rolling in through the gates of Glen Helen Raceway, you’ll spot a huge sign hanging over the entrance that says “Mixin’ Gas and Haulin’ Ass”. This year the RX Cartel did one of those - by winning the inaugural Nitro RX Group E Championship title. However it was with full electric power, and not a single drop of gasoline in sight.

Badass champions that took the fight to the competition in brutal style; but with zero emissions and electric power. History in the making!

Following a triple shot of fiercely contested finals at the Los Angeles season closer, Monster Energy RX Cartel’s Robin Larsson came out on top - clinching the series title, thereby also claiming the honor of raising the new Ken Block Championship trophy; which was presented by Lucy Block and the Block family.

After the race Larsson said: “This feels really good. It’s special. My prior wins were in Europe. But here, we have top guys from all over the world. It’s so competitive. With five different winners throughout the series, you never knew going into each race who was going to win it. You had to be at your best and take advantage of every chance you got. That’s what I like. To be the first Group E electric champion feels like a very special moment for myself as a driver and the RX Cartel Team”

Bakkerud said: “Big up to Robin. All season long, he has been Mr. Consistent. It shows his attitude, commitment and skill in the car… Of course, I would have loved to have been the one lifting the trophy; But I’m just immensely proud of him and the whole team. Getting the win on Friday was a big moment - it has been a very difficult few months, but I think there’s a star up there looking down enjoying that fight between Travis and I in the final! Big thanks to everyone in the team for a great car today! #KB43VER”
