Jose Vitor Leme is a generational bull rider. The 26-year-old from Brazil is, perhaps, the most dynamic athlete to ever compete in the 30-year history of the PBR.
It was a great ending to February on the backside of July. A bull named July. Campbell was 88 points in the Championship Round to become the first rider to make a qualified ride on July, and he was in such control he made it look easier than it actually was and could have, perhaps, should have been marked higher.
The two-time PBR World Champion was not at his best this past weekend, and yet he won his third elite, PBR event of 2023 and placed second in the 15/15 Bucking Battle.
It was only fitting Jose Vitor Leme and the rest of the top professional bull riders in the world had traveled to “The Second City” for what would be Leme’s second elite, televised PBR event-win in as many weeks.
