It’s official! The 62nd edition of X Games is in the books and Monster Energy riders ended the world’s premium action sports showcase with a bang on the final day of competitions.
On Saturday, team rider Ishod Wair took third place in the Men’s Skateboard Street final at the California Training Facility (CA|TF). And in this year’s X Games Real BMX video contest, Monster Energy BMX athlete Felix Prangenberg from Germany took X Games gold on the strength of a banging 90-second video part created with filmer/editor David Schaller.
These final medals round out an impressive run at X Games 2021: Over the course of four action-packed days, Monster Energy athletes claimed 20 medals (7 gold, 8 silver, 5 bronze) from BMX, Moto X, and Skateboard events in the world’s premium action sports showcase.
Supported by Monster Energy as the official energy drink partner, X Games 2021 was contested as a closed-to-the-public event at three unique athlete training facilities across Southern California. Even without spectators on site, the level of riding was top notch and X Games history was written after a year of pandemic lockdown.
Here’s how it all went down on Day 4 of X Games 2021:
