A-list cast turn out for #WarsawSGP

May 202019

An all-star Monster lineup headed to Warsaw’s Stadion Narodowy for the opening round of the 2019 Speedway GP series – and they weren’t disappointed!

With Gymkhana GRiD headed to the Polish capital in September, we thought we’d invite a bunch of GRiD legends to the season’s curtain-raiser in the very same city to check out some drifting, speedway style.

Rally god Petter Solberg, four-time Gymkhana winner Luke Woodham and Polish legend Krzysztof Holowczyzc were among the 55,000 people packed into the stadium to see our men Patryk Dudek and Tai Woffinden do their thing.

It was Patryk who really turned on the style, and the crew watched him take an early lead in the overall standings with an awesome performance in front of his home fans.

Battered and bruised by a recent crash, Duzers’ night looked like it could’ve been over when he had a huge get-off in his fourth race, but instead he jumped back on the bike and produced the ride of the night and he went from strength to strength.

Although his score of 16 was the highest on the night, he had to settle for third place in the final when Danish racer Leon Madsen, in his first ever GP, and Fredrik Lindgren both got the better of him in the showpiece final race of the night.

It wasn’t just the GRiD crew in Patryk’s corner all night either – UFC fighter Karolina Kowalkiewicz joined in the fun and enjoyed watching Patryk take home the top score and early overall lead.

We had our cameras on the action, so check out the images as some of the most rad athletes on the Monster roster took over Warsaw!
