Q&A

How have you and the team been adjusting to life in China over the last few weeks?

We have been adjusting well to China. It took some time but after a week we got into the rhythm.

We have been adjusting well to China. It took some time but after a week we got into the rhythm.

The biggest difference is that we get to practice against the Chinese teams and so there are lots of new ideas. Also, we don't have access to western websites so everyone is a bit more focused.

Do you think that TI being held in Shanghai gives Chinese teams a bit of a home-field advantage or is there no such thing in Dota?

In China, the crowds have more pride in their teams than other countries. If home-field advantage is real, China would have the strongest.

Last year the odd/even year curse was broken. How do you feel about Chinese teams’ odds to win this year in their home country?

Chinese teams’ odds of winning are good this year. They have a few teams that are looking very strong.

Without revealing too much about your strategies, how has practice been going for you and the team?

Practice has been going well so far. We picked up a lot of speed in the second half of our boot camp.

Is there anything you’re focusing on outside of the game to get in the correct headspace for TI? Meditation, other games, exercise, etc.

I have been working on better sleeping and eating habits. I find that it helps me focus in games.

What would it mean to you if you became the first player (along with S4) and team to win their second Aegis?

It would be great to win a second aegis, not just with Gustav, but with this team.
